Remodel and custom carpentry
This project was such a rewarding remodel. Both homeowners were hands-on in the design, and each came to the table with their own wish list — one wanted a bidet, the other a deep soaker tub — but they shared a single goal: to build a true sanctuary. A bathroom with a spacious shower, a place to soak and unwind, and beautiful, functional cabinetry that keeps everything in its place.
Bathroom
This remodel was more involved than it looks. To open the space up, we removed the ceiling soffits and raised the ceiling height, then moved walls to give the room space to breathe. The result is a bathroom that feels noticeably larger, calmer, and more open — the kind of space you can exhale the moment you walk through the door.
To fill it with natural light, we installed solar tubes in the shower — small skylights that channel real daylight down through the roof, so the shower glows with soft, natural light even on a gray morning. It makes the space feel bright, fresh, and connected to the outdoors, without sacrificing any privacy. Throughout the rest of the bathroom, we added recessed lighting — fixtures set flush into the ceiling for a clean, uncluttered look — layering in a warm, even glow that makes the whole room feel serene and spa-like from every angle.
Underfoot, the floor is finished in natural slate and warmed by a heated system on its own thermostat, so it's always ready to greet bare feet. We chose slate so it feels like walking on natural rock heated by the sun — grounding, warm, and just a little luxurious every single morning.
Carpentry bench
We custom built this bench for the homeowners to have storage and a grounding border underneath the front window. They wanted it to look natural and warm with clean lines, to match the rest of the home.
