A Grand Canyon Inspired Bathroom

Remodel, custom tile and custom carpentry

A nurse in Noho had previously hired us for her guest bathroom and she called again when she was ready to remodel her master bathroom. We were honored and excited as her creativity always made for a fun project.

She was deeply inspired by the Grand Canyon and nature when she wanted to design her bathroom. The floor feels like walking in the canyon how it lifts under your feet. The vanity countertop runs with copper veins that reminded me of the canyon walls.

Custom Shower

The shower wall tiles look like linen which make this shower feel like a one of a kind.

We added metal shelves that have cut out designs and a brick accent layer that added a masculine balance to the femininity.

The upper cabinet was made in the Trusted Trades house by Graeme to match the vanity and came out perfect. It added extra storage for the homeowner, above the custom cut countertop.

A modern vanity light still held the natural elements and enhanced the bathroom. The copper framed mirror complimented the copper sink, along with the copper that shined in the vanity countertop.

The squares in the tile floor lift up at different angles to make it feel like comforting pressure points under the feet. We forget how important it is to walk on surfaces with bare feet, to walk on surfaces that move our soles and souls alike.
